September 2024 marks a significant month for raising awareness about sickle cell disease, a genetic disorder affecting millions worldwide. Lifeport Development Initiative and Olanipekun Ayomide Initiatives, in partnership with Ekiti State Teaching Hospitals’ Hematology departments, are proud to announce a comprehensive online and offline campaign to educate, advocate, and support those affected by sickle cell disease.

Physical Campaign and Awareness (September 26th)

On September 26th, we will be hosting a physical campaign and awareness event at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology, Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State. This event aims to bring together individuals, families, and communities affected by sickle cell disease, healthcare professionals, and supporters to raise awareness, provide education, and promote advocacy.

Blood Donation Drive (September 27th)

On September 27th, we will be organizing a blood donation drive at the same venue, in partnership with Ekiti State Teaching Hospitals’ Hematology departments. Blood donations are crucial for individuals with sickle cell disease, and we urge eligible donors to come forward and support this life-saving cause.
